Sometimes. Microbes are tested for their compatibility with chemicals as part of the development of each one of our products.

Our products are stable if kept out of direct sunlight and stored at ambient temperature or below. For best results microbes should be stored in a cool area. A coolroom below 10C is best.

Chlorine is added to water by Authorities to kill microbes. We advise the use on non-chlorinated water for best results.

Calcium is relatively immobile in plants, moving mainly through the xylem with transpiration.

Low-transpiring organs like fruits often receive less calcium, leading to disorders.
Microbial inoculants such as Bacillus, Pseudomonas, and mycorrhizal fungi enhance root growth and solubilize calcium compounds, improving uptake.

Use balanced soil moisture, healthy roots, and beneficial microbes to support effective calcium mobility.

A metagenomic soil test is performed by extracting the DNA from a soil sample and using this DNA to identify all the bacteria and fungi present within the sample.

The DNA sequences that are identified are then compared with a database of known organisms to identify the ones that are in your soil. The DNA data can then also be used to categorise the bacteria and fungi based on their role in the soil.

Biologicals are an integral part of a healthy and productive farming system. As with the application of any farm input, timing, placement and product concentration are key to making microbes functional in the soil and achieving a desired outcome,

GSB works with Agronomists and farm advisors to help them understand and utilise biology in their clients’ farming systems. As a starting point, GSB offer testing of the soil microbiome to determine the levels of functional microbiology contained therein. Once imbalances and/or pathogen loads are determined, GSB are available to help tailor agronomic programs to ensure the best chance of a productive success.

When used by a skilled operator, Microbial products can be used to enhance conventional fertilizer efficiency and reduce (though not necessarily replace) the need for chemical applications. Our aim is to take a proactive approach to creating a healthy and productive farming enterprise.

We ask that users of any agricultural input read the label carefully and take the necessary steps to avoid contact with and ingestion of biological products. While not necessarily as harmful as some agri chemicals, microbial products may cause harm to immunologically challenged individuals.
