Providing guidance to agronomists and farm advisors.
GSB have deep experience in soil and plant pathology and the role of microbes in agricultural systems. This places us in an ideal position to advise and educate agronomists and farm advisors on the products and practices necessary to build profitable, sustainable outcomes.
Our advice is designed to:
From interpreting complex soil data to selecting the right mix of biological and chemical products, we offer solutions tailored to your agronomy team.
We believe in a proactive, science-based approach by farm advisors. We helping agronomists not only address immediate concerns but also build long-term resilience and productivity within cropping systems.
Great Southern Biology are available to look at complex disease and nutritional issues. Where necessary we will take on research and development projects to investigate matters of industry significance.
At GSB, we excel in providing comprehensive services across four core areas, helping achieve optimal results in every aspect of sustainable agriculture.
We help agronomists and farm advisors integrate biological solutions into agronomic plans, starting with the “Prometheus” soil testing system to map the soil genome, identify issues, and apply biological solutions.
GSB offer structured education programs to agronomy teams looking to upskill their staff on soil and plant pathology as well as the integration of biological products and practices into conventional systems.
GSB helps retailers refine their biological product range with data-driven qPCR testing for real-time feedback on effectiveness. We also offer white-label manufacturing for custom microbial products.
GSB offer government bodies advice on soil diversity and conservation as well as agricultural output and the reduction of fertiliser and chemical usage in agricultural production systems.
Data Driven Biology
Providing essential insights into soil health and fertility.
Samples from your fields are analysed for nutrient levels, pH, organic matter, and microbial activity to identify specific needs for optimal crop protection.
How to take a Soil Microbiome Test
The process begins with accurate sample collection, followed by analysis in a certified laboratory. Key factors evaluated include macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), micronutrients (iron, zinc), soil texture, and moisture levels.
You’ll receive a report detailing nutrient levels, pH balance, organic matter content, and microbial activity, typically within 10 to 14 days.
The report includes tailored recommendations for improving soil health, including product applications and crop rotation strategies. Our advisory services can be customised for ongoing support or case-by-case guidance to meet your farming goals.
